“Can’t I just call the listing agent?”

You can. Just remember who hired them. A listing agent’s job is to get the seller the best deal. You deserve someone whose job is getting you yours.

Let’s Find Your Place

Before you make that call, ask who’s negotiating for you.

Price, terms and what happens after the inspection all get negotiated. Before you sign anything, you should know exactly who represents you. Massachusetts and New Hampshire have their own rules on this, and I’ll explain what applies to you in plain English.

“After deciding to move forward with Dianna, we were under contract and closing on a home within 30 days.”

What matters before you buy

Getting prepared

Talk to a lender before you fall in love with a kitchen. Knowing where you stand makes every decision after that easier, and I can introduce you to people I trust.

Financing basics

A lender can tell you what you’re able to borrow. What you’re comfortable paying every month is a different number, and it’s the one you’ll live with.

The search

Listing sites show you what’s for sale. They don’t tell you what it’s like to stand in the house, or what you’d be taking on. That’s where I come in.

Inspections

Every house has something. The question is what’s normal, what’s negotiable and what should send you running. You’ll get a straight answer from me.

“She answered my frantic texts, kept me from buying a total disaster, and made the whole nightmare of buying a house actually fun.”

Paul K., home buyer
